A workshop on CADEYE, an artificial intelligence system for upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy was conducted by Fujifilm India Private Limited in collaboration with the Japanese Government at Dr.B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati on 12th January 2024. Yuta Yamashita, first secretary of the Embassy of Japan, New Delhi was the Guest of Honor. The speakers for the workshop were Dr. Akira Dobashi from the Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo, and Dr.B D Goswami, Consultant Gastroenterologist at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati.
Dr. B B Borthakur, Director of BBCI said that this endeavor by Fujinon is a great initiative in creating human resources trained with state-of-the-art technology in healthcare and will go a long way in developing better standards of care. Yuta Yamashita stressed the growing Indo-Japan partnership in the field of healthcare technology.
